Serengeti & Maasai Mara

DESTINATION
Serengeti & Maasai Mara

The Serengeti, in northern Tanzania, is one of the world’s most iconic national parks, renowned for its sweeping savannahs, lush forests, diverse wildlife, and the spectacle of the Great Migration. It borders the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the south and Kenya’s Maasai Mara to the north, covering roughly 14,750 square kilometres. Tanzania is also home to Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak and one of its most celebrated natural landmarks. Each year, over 1.5 million wildebeest, along with hundreds of thousands of zebras and other animals, journey from the Serengeti into the Maasai Mara in search of fresh grazing. One of the most dramatic moments of this migration is the crossing of the Mara River, where herds brave crocodile-infested waters—a breathtaking and unforgettable wildlife experience.
